International Relations, Political Methodology

I’m currently interested in terrorism study as well as nationalism, ethnic conflict and political violence in general. Besides, I am also interested in studying how one state’s internal factors, including political institution, economy, culture, etc, affect its external pursuit. To be more specific, I want to investigate the causes and consequences of China’s domestic terrorism or separatism as well as its international implications – how these incidents, in and of themselves, and China’s counter-terrorism policy (domestic CT policy and international CT cooperation) influence China’s international relations. Lastly, as a student who majored in economics before, I am also interested in the use of quantitative methods in studies of the above issues.
