Lynn SandersField: American Government (Public Opinion, Racial and Gender Politics, Democratic Theory).

Current research, supported by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, focuses on the influence of political participation on mental health. A book manuscript in progress examines how the methodological assumptions of survey researchers have shaped Americans’ understandings of public opinion on race.

Contributor to journals including Philosophy of the Social Sciences, Political Theory, American Journal of Sociology, and to Divided by Color (with Donald Kinder, 1996).
