Alumni Support

The Department of Politics invites you to get involved in the success of this year’s graduates through:

  • mentoring
  • internships
  • and career opportunities

Our annual Life After Politics event is a half-day experience where alumni share advice through a panel and through speed mentoring sessions.

Third and fourth year students are encouraged to seek out internships. For institutions with unfunded internship programs, grants and scholarships are available to students to offset some personal costs. We encourage alumni employers and organizations to consider offering internships.

Career opportunities can be posted and managed through CavLink. CavLink is an online service which allows you to review candidates and manage the interview process. On-Ground Interviewing (OGI) is an excellent way to interview multiple candidates. Contact the Career Center for more information.

Our available doctoral student job candidates are can be found here.

Please send your placement updates to Sonal Pandya and Politics Communications. We look forward to posting your successes to the Department’s website.
