Biography

I am a doctoral student in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. My main area of interests is modern European political and social thought, with an emphasis on German thinkers such as Hegel and Marx, and on questions of state legitimacy and social freedom. 

I am originally from China. I studied philosophy as an undergraduate at UNC-Chapel Hill and as a master’s student at Columbia University.
