Biography
I am a first-year doctoral student in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia (UVA). While at UVA, I hope to explore the complexities of state legislatures and the legislative process, with a focus on power dynamics and partisan control. Specifically, my research interests center on how majority and minority party coalitions operate under specific circumstances, such as periods of one-party legislative dominance.
Prior to beginning my studies at UVA, I earned a Master’s degree in Political Science from Kent State University, with a concentration in American Politics. I also hold a Bachelor’s degree in History, with a minor in Classics, from The Ohio State University.
