Biography
Joseph J. Ruggiero is an assistant professor in the Department of Politics at the University of Virginia. He specializes in strategic analysis of international relations and political economy, with a focus on incorporating game theory and quantitative methods to study questions of war and cooperation. His work is published or forthcoming in the American Journal of Political Science and Conflict Management and Peace Science, and has won awards from the APSA Formal Theory Section and the Formal Models of Conflict Conference. He received his PhD from Princeton University in 2024 and was previously a postdoctoral fellow at Stanford University.
