Prof. David Leblang has coauthored a new article, with Dr. Alexandra O. Zeitz of Concordia University, in International Studies Quarterly, the flagship journal of the International Studies Association. Their article, "Migrants as Engines of Financial Globalization: The Case of Global Banking," contributes to the literature on migration's impact on international investment. Using data on foreign bank ownership data, the authors "find that bilateral migrant networks are a predictor of cross-border banking investment." This is the latest of several articles Dr. Leblang has authored on the political economy of migration.
