Honors Alumna Ashley Mehra Published in Edited Volume

Ashley Mehra, who graduated from the Department's undergrad honors program in 2018, has a chapter in the new edited volume, Structures of Protection? Rethinking Refugee Shelter. Ms. Mehra's chapter, "Redignifying Refugees: A Critical Study of Citizen-Run Shelters in Athens," is based on her honors thesis, completed under the advisement of Profs. Rubenstein, Bird, and Milkis. After taking her degree from UVA, Ashley completed an MPhil in the Faculty of Classics as a Buckley Scholar at King’s College, University of Cambridge. She now serves as a founding editor of the Global Human Movement Review at Cambridge's Centre for the Study of Global Human Movement.
